I was employed by Weather Services Corporation to be a member of a team of meteorologists at a facility in Freeport, Bahamas that was testing the viability of a large, tethered "aerostat" to serve as a high altitude platform for telecommunications equipment.

My duties were to provide the site manager with daily meteorological observations and forecasts pertinent to the ongoing testing of the aerostat. These included launching and analyzing radiosondes, monitoring weather radar, acquiring surface weather observations, and preparing local forecasts for the aerostat site.
